OBJECTIVE
The objective of my project was to design a book cover for The Silence of the Lambs as if I were creating it for a real published novel. The goal was to visually represent the psychological tension, key themes, and dark tone of the story through imagery, typography, and layout.
PROCESS
I began by analyzing the book’s main themes—such as fear, manipulation, and the relationship between Clarice Starling and Hannibal Lecter. I then sketched design concepts that captured the eerie, suspenseful atmosphere, incorporating symbolic elements like the death’s-head moth and muted, ominous colors. After selecting the strongest concept, I created the final design digitally, carefully choosing fonts as well as creating my own, and creating graphics that reflect the psychological thriller genre while appealing to modern readers.
